My name is Tarra and I’m a daughter, sister, wife and mother of two sweet boys Cayden (10) and Cody (7) and we live in Castle Rock, Colorado.  I’ve decided life is too precious not to go after your dreams and do what you love! So here I am, following my heart and it is with complete joy I bring to you, Tarra Blakstad Photography.  

 

I am a Castle Rock Family Photographer who loves to put people at ease first and foremost, get down to your level (literally, I’ll lay on the floor, climb stairs, jump on a couch) for any chance to take the right pictures, capture special looks and moments and bring out that charisma in someone. I’m professional yet fun and very personable. I have the ability to be positive and patient when the world isn’t going that way. My passion is people and relationships. To have the creative outlet that results in pictures your family will love and cherish brings me to my happy place.

 

 Why choose tb photography?  I enjoy learning what is most important to you and am dedicated to giving you the best possible experience.   Part of my process is that I'll have a conversation prior to booking and/or prior to our photography session to educate myself on what you are looking for and what you're hoping to achieve during your session. That way we can identify collaboratively together if lifestyle photography in home or in studio is best, or if we should venture to the Great Outdoors.  Of course, if you see what you like directly from the site, you'll have the option to book online.  My services include three options for your personal preference.  

 

The Great Outdoors Experience:  Portrait, Family Photography,  will take place in our beautiful trails and state parks and open spaces.

 

Studio Experience: Portrait, family photography sessions will take place in the studio. It is located in the front room in my home and will be seasonally decorated for various occasions- especially holidays.  I have many adorable and colorful backdrops and props to add fun to whatever your mood is. So if you’re celebrating, I will be there to capture it for you.

 

Lifestyle, newborn photography is a specialty and I'll happily travel to you. No need to stress about leaving the house Momma! You stay focused on snuggling that sweet baby and I'll do the rest.
